David and Judy Payne have spent over 30 years translating the Bible for the Asheninka people of Peru and are currently helping to adapt their work to reach a group with a similar language, the Pichis Asheninka. There are 50 villages with 100-1000 people in each who speak Pichis. David travels to Peru and works with native Peruvian translators in an effort to create the first-ever Asheninka Bible translation. He also leads pastor training workshops and works with local pastors who oversee training others to present the gospel in story-form from both the Old and New Testaments. More villages are asking for storytellers!
