Brittany is currently serving aboard the Africa Mercy. Over the next two years, she will be serving as the Junior High and High School English teacher and was recently promoted to Lead Teacher, which means she won’t just get to serve the children and families that live on board, but she will also get to serve the other teachers.
The Africa Mercy is one of two ships with the Mercy Ships organization that work together to bring hope and healing to the West Coast of Africa.
The ship is a floating hospital that provides free, life-changing surgery to people that do not have access to adequate medical care. Although it may seem strange for a hospital ship to have a school on board, it is actually a way to provide families the ability to serve the organization.
