Spring 2020 Women’s Studies

All Studies begin January 21

At Bethel Women’s Bible studies, our desire is to love God more through the study of His Word. We believe studying the Bible builds community among women of all ages, and knowing the Scriptures allows love and compassion to work in us and through us. Click on the links below to see which studies are currently being offered at your campus.

If you have any questions about these studies, or if you’re interested in leadership opportunities in the Bethel WBS Ministry, contact Olivia Heaton, WBS Coordinator – olivia@bethelbible.com.

“For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 15:4-6

Ephesians: Alive with Christ

In the book of Ephesians, we see a glorious picture of the Church, the gospel, and the nature of every believer in Christ. It is a masterpiece of mercy that reveals the character and work of God in establishing His body of believers, redeeming them from sin’s curse and bondage, and raising them to new life in Christ. For God’s beloved ones, the message of Ephesians is both a blueprint and a battle cry. Paul first outlines our spiritual identity and then calls us to embrace the love of Christ by “putting on” the way of life that Christ loves—through unity, purity, mutual submission, and above all, love. In this way, the Church is able to grow together in holiness and power. The forces of evil surround us every day, but together in Christ, we can step out into the world as a “new man,” armed with every spiritual weapon and able to stand firm against life’s daily battles.

The Book of Acts: Part Two

The book of Acts begins with an ending. Here we see the final scene of the Gospels continued, with Jesus ascending to His Father’s right hand, and the beginning of a different ministry unfold—the ministry of the Holy Spirit. This two-part study takes an intimate look into the new but familiar work of the Spirit as He initiates and directs the spread of the gospel worldwide through the extraordinary triumphs and sufferings of Christ’s faithful witnesses. He is the hope of “something greater” that Jesus repeatedly promised and His arrival in the Book of Acts makes clear that there is a purpose beyond the here and now that they—and we—have been called and prepared to fulfill.
