Bethel Outreach – February 2, 2019
The King’s Storehouse Food Pantry has been distributing food supplies to both Christian and secular non-profits in the East Texas area for over 30 years. They have chosen to remain distinctly Christian as stated in their mission statement on their website, “The King’s Storehouse helps feed the hungry with the purpose of showing God’s love through His Son, Jesus Christ.” King’s also operates with a very small paid staff and depends primarily on volunteers for every aspect of operation. As an act of LIVING GENEROUSLY, members of Bethel gathered at King’s Storehouse on a chilly Saturday morning, February 2, 2019. Outreach organizer Betsy Roe, who serves on the Bethel Missions Board, expressed, “We had Bethel families and individuals from all 3 campuses, and it was a true gift to be able to serve alongside each other. The whole work day was a great picture of ‘one body’” as they sorted, organized, and boxed foods to be distributed. Thank You to Betsy Roe for organizing this outreach opportunity!
