During the recent snowstorm, the Hope Campus was able to host East Texas residents who were without power or water. We initially had about 45 guests and served three meals a day and snacks. We had donations from local restaurants and a few other churches. It was incredible to see the way the Lord provided even more food than we needed! At any given time, we had volunteers from three or four different campuses all working together to serve our guests. We were also able to have a COVID vaccine clinic for some of the volunteers and the people staying at the warming center!
There was no way to be prepared for what happened in East Texas a few weeks ago. Plans and needs changed every few hours. Even though we were surprised by the snow, loss of power, boil warning, etc, the Lord was in control and brought us everything we needed. Bethel members selflessly served and made our guests feel valued and safe. All glory to God!
