Eagle Scout Project: Bethel fire pit
Greetings, Bethel members!
My name is Jonathan Everett, and I’m a Boy Scout in Troop 370. I am working on my Eagle Scout Rank, which entails planning, leading, and finishing a project that helps my community.
You may be asking, “What is the project?” For my Eagle project, I will be building a fire pit on the land behind the church, which you may have not even known was back there! Hopefully, the fire pit will be a place for people to create memories with their families and friends at Bethel South. I will also be creating a trail to the site, so that there’s an easier path to get to the fire pit.
Lastly, because the fire pit will be situated in front of the pond, which gives people the opportunity to fish, I will be creating a sign with the pond rules on it. I am looking forward to earning my Eagle rank by doing something special for the place that has been my church home since I was three years old!

We are excited to announce that we have a conceptual master plan to utilize the pond and outdoor area behind the South Campus. Jonathan’s Fire Pit project will be the beginnings of a future outdoor space which we hope will one day include a Chapel Event Center (to be used for weddings) and Outdoor Worship Venue.
