WBS South: Ephesians Wed. PM
January 22, 2020 @ 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM
An event every week that begins at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, repeating until April 15, 2020
In the book of Ephesians, we see a glorious picture of the Church, the gospel, and the nature of every believer in Christ. It is a masterpiece of mercy that reveals the character and work of God in establishing His body of believers, redeeming them from sin’s curse and bondage, and raising them to a new life in Christ. For God’s beloved ones, the message of Ephesians is both a blueprint and a battle cry. Paul first outlines our spiritual identity and then calls us to embrace the love of Christ by “putting on” the way of life that Christ loves—through unity, purity, mutual submission, and above all, love. In this way, the Church is able to grow together in holiness and power. The forces of evil surround us every day, but together in Christ, we can step out into the world as a “new man,” armed with every spiritual weapon and able to stand firm against life’s daily battles.
