Tuesday night’s concert was a great success! The group, Majesty, led us in worship and song and I was surprised and pleased that some of the songs were actually sung in English with the interpretation and testimony given in Italian!
A group of 150 students from a nearby camp attended the event, half of which were non-Christian, another huge praise! It was awesome to watch them engage in worshiping The Lord and it seemed that other bystanders were watching curiously at the joy and excitement they witnessed. Some members of our group entertained children with balloon animals, face painting and sharing the “wordless book” (gospel) using black, red, white, green and yellow fingernail polish. Jim Phillips shared his testimony at the event and was joined by Vincent, a young man from the church who had lost his father four years ago. Both shared of God’s grace in the midst of tragedy and the change He has made in their lives.
Thank you so much for your prayers. The weather has been great all week and even though we’ve been weary, God has been faithful to provide us strength.
We spent Wednesday distributing cards to different towns and ended it with another beach ministry where we shared Bible stories, puppet shows, and mimes. Rick & Laura Young and Drew McCuistion shared their testimonies at the Roberts house amongst neighbors and guests while enjoying a wonderful seafood meal and cheesecake prepared by Rose. The rest of us ate dinner with the Milan youth and looked around the area and ended our evening with real Italian gelato! What a treat!
