Our Italy team paired up with local youth as well as youth from Milan on Monday morning to go through Mosciano and surrounding areas passing out fliers for Tuesday night’s concert. We also distributed thousands of fliers that contain a personal message from God on the front (“I know you.” or “I forgive you.”) The back of the cards give more food for thought and contact info for the church and a website to visit to learn more.
In the afternoon, some of us practiced mime and puppet shows while others went to the beach to prayer walk for the people there and those who will be attending Tuesday’s outreach events.
The evening brought the opportunity for six of us to share our testimonies in two different homes with invited guests. We shared a wonderful Italian meal together and then gave our stories which were translated by our hosts and hostesses. It was a late night, but we were up early in the morning to have breakfast and devotionals before heading off into the town once again to distribute more fliers.
With the backdrop of the Adriatic Sea, we assisted with the mime and puppet shows on the beach in the afternoon. We led children in songs and entertained with puppets and an audience participation re-enactment of David and Goliath! At the time of this writing, we are in the town’s main piazza starting the face-painting, nail painting, and balloon art activities while waiting for the free concert to begin.
Buona notte! (Good night!)
